Best for
offices, meeting rooms, classrooms, and shared spaces up to about 90 m²
Fast cleaning that matched its listed clean-air output in our test, and a huge H13 filter that lasts around two years. We hold back because it is louder than listed on every speed (about 11 to 13 dB above), looks like industrial equipment even in an office, is 123 cm tall and 36 kg with a back-mounted dial, and has no sensor or carbon in the box.
Our verdict
If you need to clean an office, a meeting room, or a school classroom, the Smart Air Blast moves a lot of air through one huge H13 HEPA filter that lasts around two years, and it has lockable wheels. It cleared our 9 m² incense room in 12.4 minutes on speed 3, right in line with its 950 m³/h listing, so it suits spaces up to about 90 m² for fast cleanup. The 150 m² on the listing is a background-cleaning size. It is tall, heavy, plain, louder than listed, and draws about 54 to 127 W at the wall. For a single bedroom or living room it is more machine than you need. AirLab score: 7.5 / 10.
Smart Air makes straightforward filter purifiers: a fan pulls air through a HEPA sheet that traps fine dust and smoke, with no ionizer spraying charged particles into the room. In Thailand they are sold by WEDO AIR, from the portable QT3 up to this Blast. WEDO AIR lists international schools and offices in Bangkok running Blasts alongside Sqairs.
Think of the Blast as building equipment. It is a white metal cabinet about 57 × 33 × 123 cm, roughly chest-high on an adult, with a tall perforated front panel and four lockable wheels. It weighs about 36 kg. Three fan speeds are set with a dial on the back. WEDO AIR lists power at 48 / 81 / 118 W and noise at 29 / 37 / 43 dB on speeds 1 / 2 / 3; our meters read 53.6 / 88.4 / 126.8 W and 41.7 / 48.9 / 54.3 dB(A).
WEDO AIR lists clean-air output (CADR, how much cleaned air comes out per hour) at 450 / 680 / 950 m³/h, with an H13 HEPA filter. The product page says rooms up to 150 m²; the details table says 140 m². Our test lined up with the 950 m³/h listing on speed 3, so we would size it for about 90 m² if you want the air changed four times an hour. The 150 m² figure assumes fewer air changes; in a space that large it still helps as steady background cleaning, but more slowly.
What is in the box?
The Blast ships in a tall, heavy box, and moving it is a two-person job. Once it is out, there is nothing to assemble: the wheels are fitted and the HEPA filter is already inside.

How do we test the Blast?
We test every air purifier the same way so you can compare results from one review to the next. For the Blast we used our usual 9 square meter room with a 2.5 meter ceiling. That is far smaller than the offices and gyms the Blast is built for. We keep the same room anyway so every AirLab result can be compared, and scale the numbers up for bigger spaces later in this review. We light incense sticks to fill the air with fine particles. When our Temtop S1 monitor shows PM2.5 at 75 micrograms per cubic meter, we take the incense out, turn the unit on, and stop the timer when that reading first falls to 15 or below. We fill the room with smoke again before each speed. The photos below show this Blast run. If you want every rule in one place, including where we put the monitor and how we measure noise and power, read the full method on our methodology page.
Step 1: We close up the test room
Every run happens in the same closed 9 m² room with a 2.5 m ceiling. The door stays shut and the air conditioning stays off, so the smoke comes from our incense and not from open windows or the street.

Step 2: We light incense sticks
Next we light incense sticks so the room fills with fine particles and smoke. When the Temtop S1 reads 75 µg/m³, we take the incense out of the room.

Step 3: We place the Blast and the air monitor
We place the Blast against the side wall, leave a gap behind it for the dial, and lock the wheels. The Temtop S1 sits on a desk across the room and keeps logging PM2.5. We do not start the cleaning timer until that reading reaches at least 75 micrograms per cubic meter.

Step 4: We run every speed and time the cleanup
When the start level is reached, we turn the dial to the speed we are testing and start a timer. We stop the timer as soon as the monitor first shows PM2.5 at 15 micrograms per cubic meter or lower. We do a separate run on speeds 3, 2, and 1, each one starting again from at least 75, so every speed gets its own cleanup time.

Step 5: We check how much electricity it uses
After the particle runs, we plug the Blast into a wall energy meter. We write down the watt reading on every speed so we can estimate the yearly electricity cost later in this review.

Step 6: We check how loud each speed is
Last we measure sound with a handheld meter held 1 meter from the unit. We do this for every fan speed. That same distance is used on every AirLab review so the noise numbers stay comparable.

Full protocol (gates, placement, noise, power, scoring): the AirLab methodology.
How well does the Blast clean the air?
We ran the Blast through our standard incense particle test in the closed 9 m² lab room (2.5 m ceiling). We lit incense sticks until the Temtop S1 read 75 µg/m³, took the incense out of the room, and switched the purifier on. We stopped the clock at the first moment PM2.5 fell to 15 µg/m³ or below, then filled the room with smoke again before testing the next speed. That is the same start and clean gate we use on every AirLab review, so you can compare one unit to the next.

What stands out about the Blast, and what does not?
Strengths
- Cleaned our 9 m² test room in 12.4 minutes on speed 3, and still in 22.3 minutes on speed 1
- Huge H13 HEPA filter rated about 18 to 24 months
- Has lockable wheels
Limitations
- Louder than listed: 41.7 / 48.9 / 54.3 dB(A) at 1 m against 29 / 37 / 43 dB claimed
- Draws 53.6 to 126.8 W, a little above the listing; electricity is a real part of the running cost
- No sensor, no auto mode, no carbon filter in the box (carbon is ฿2,950 extra)
- 123 cm tall and 36 kg; hard to fit into a normal home
- For fast cleanup, one unit covers about 90 m²; treat the 150 m² claim as a background-cleaning size
How is the Blast designed, and how easy is it to use?
The Blast is about as tall as a filing cabinet and as wide as a narrow bookshelf. It is designed for big rooms where moving a lot of air matters more than looks.
The case is white painted metal, with a tall front panel punched with rows of small Y-shaped holes and a small Smart Air badge near the top. It feels very solid; nothing flexes or rattles on speed 3. In an office, gym, or classroom it reads as equipment and fits in. In most homes it will dominate the room.

Air is drawn in through the big perforated front and through one very large H13 HEPA filter behind it. That filter area is the secret to the Blast: the fan does not have to force air through a small sheet, so it can move a lot of air without a high-pitched whine. It is also why the filter lasts so long.

Four caster wheels with ON / OFF brake tabs carry the 36 kg. Lock them to keep it in place, unlock them to move it.

The only control is a three-speed dial on the back. No screen, sensor, auto mode, timer, or app. In a school or office that is exactly right: set it once and nobody changes it. At home, remember to leave space behind it so you can reach the dial.

What does the Blast filter actually capture?
This filter is for particles: dust, smoke bits, pollen, and pet dander.
The Blast uses one very large H13 HEPA filter. WEDO AIR says it captures up to 99.95% of particles on the first pass. H13 is the grade often called True HEPA, the same grade as the SA600 and a step finer than the Sqair.

WEDO AIR says the filter traps PM2.5, viruses, bacteria, pet hair, and mold, and describes the Blast as hospital approved. We do not treat virus and bacteria claims as medical results. A good particle filter can catch tiny bits in the air. That is not the same as treating an infection.
Filter life is where the listing is least consistent. The page says 18 to 24 months in one place, 19 to 22 months in the details table, and 17 to 20 months in the bullet list. All of them agree it is long, which is one of the Blast's biggest advantages. In a smoky season or a busy gym, plan on the lower end.
How often do you replace the Blast filter?
The official replacement is one large H13 HEPA filter at ฿3,950 on WEDO AIR. Filters are not covered by the 1-year unit warranty. If you skip changes, clean-air output drops and the fan works harder for less result.
- Schedule
- Every 18 to 24 months, depending on how dirty the air is.
- Filter price
- ฿3,950 per HEPA filter (carbon filter ฿2,950)
- Annual cost
- About ฿2,765 / year at 10 hours a day (about 0.7 filter)
How you change it
Turn the dial off and unplug. Lock the wheels. Take off the tall perforated front panel, slide the big HEPA filter straight out, and slide the new one in with the airflow arrow pointing the same way as the old one. Refit the panel. No tools needed, but the filter is tall and awkward, so a second pair of hands helps. Have a large trash bag ready.

How loud is the Blast?
Speeds 1 / 2 / 3: 41.7 / 48.9 / 54.3 dB(A), measured at 1 m from the Blast (AirLab standard for every unit). That is about 11 to 13 dB above the listed 29 / 37 / 43 dB on every speed. Speed 1 is about as loud as a library, fine as background in an office or classroom. Speed 2 is like a quiet office. Speed 3 is a clear, steady rush of air you will notice in a meeting. None of the speeds is quiet enough for a bedroom.
- Speed 142dB(A)
- Speed 249dB(A)
- Speed 354dB(A)
Measured 1 m from the unit at 1.2 m height, A-weighted. Reference markers are everyday comparisons, not test results.

What does the Blast cost to run?
Running the Smart Air Blast will cost about ฿4,219 per year for electricity plus filter replacements, about ฿352 per month. That is what you keep paying after you own the unit. The purifier itself is a one-time buy.
Annual running cost split
฿4,219 / year
- Electricity
- ฿1,454
- Filters
- ฿2,765
1. Electricity = ฿1,454 per year
Our wall meter read 53.6 W on speed 1, 88.4 W on speed 2, and 126.8 W on speed 3, about 5 to 9 W above the 48 / 81 / 118 W listing. For the yearly electricity line we assume 10 hours a day on speed 2, at ฿4.5 per unit of electricity (kWh), which fits an office or school day. For a machine this size, electricity is about a third of the yearly running cost.
- Speed 153.6W
- Speed 288.4W
- Speed 3126.8W

88.4 W × 10 h/day × 365 ÷ 1000 = 323 kWh × ฿4.5/kWh = ฿1,454
2. Filter costs = ฿2,765 per year
The official Blast H13 HEPA filter is ฿3,950 on WEDO AIR, rated about 18 to 24 months. We treat that as about 5,100 hours. At 10 hours a day you use about 3,650 hours a year, or about 0.7 of a filter, so we budget ฿2,765 a year. If you add the optional carbon filter, budget roughly another ฿2,950 every 6 months.
฿3,950 × 0.7 packs · 5100 h rated life per cartridge
3. Product price = ฿19,990 once
WEDO AIR listed the Blast at ฿19,990 when we checked. Add that once in year one. After that you are paying for a filter every couple of years and a steady electricity line.

Who should buy the Blast?
The Blast is a good fit when you have a shared room up to about 90 m² and want strong, set-and-forget cleaning with a filter that lasts for years. It is a mismatch for bedrooms, for anyone who expects it to reset the 150 m² on the listing quickly, and for anyone who needs to carry a purifier up stairs.

Best-fit scenarios
- Offices, meeting rooms, and school classrooms up to about 90 m²
- Shared rooms where the dial can be set once and left alone
- Bigger spaces as steady background cleaning, ideally with a second unit
Skip it if
- You need fast cleanup in a space well over 90 m². Plan on two units, or accept slow cleaning
- You want it in a bedroom or a styled living room. It is too big and too loud there
- Odors are the main job and you do not want to pay for the carbon add-on

How do the Blast’s listed claims compare to our tests?
Here is what the WEDO AIR / Smart Air listing says next to what we measured in our room. Brands test in sealed lab chambers and we test in a furnished room, so small gaps are normal. We only say a claim falls short when the gap would change which purifier you should buy. The full rules are on our methodology page.
What the brand says
Clean air output (CADR) 950 m³/h
Matches our testWhat we found
In our 9 m² room, a 950 m³/h purifier should clear the smoke (75 → 15 µg/m³) in about 11 minutes on speed 3. It took 12.4 minutes, in line with the listing.
What it means for you
For about 4 air changes an hour, we'd use it in rooms up to about 90 m².
What the brand says
H13 HEPA filter, 99.95% on the first pass
Matches our testWhat we found
It is a very large pleated H13 cartridge, and PM2.5 fell quickly on every speed, even speed 1.
What the brand says
Rooms up to 150 m² (140 m² in the details table)
Different standardWhat we found
At 150 m² the Blast gives about two and a half air changes an hour. That is below even the Chinese GB/T 18801 sizing rule, which tops out at about three and a half. We size rooms for about four air changes an hour, for faster cleanup.
What it means for you
For fast cleanup, one Blast covers about 90 m². In a 150 m² office it still keeps the air steadily cleaner; plan on two units if you want smoky air cleared quickly.
What the brand says
Cleans rooms up to 150 m² in 25 minutes
Different standardWhat we found
25 minutes is about how long it takes to push one room's worth of air (150 m² × 2.5 m) through the filter once. That is not the same as clearing smoky air, which takes several passes. Scaling our 12.4-minute result, bringing 150 m² from 75 down to 15 µg/m³ would take over three hours.
What it means for you
Read the 25 minutes as one full air pass, not a full cleanup.
What the brand says
Quiet, 43 dB on speed 3
Falls short of claimWhat we found
Our meter at 1 m measured 54.3 dB(A) on speed 3, and 41.7 / 48.9 dB(A) on speeds 1 / 2. That is about 11 to 13 dB above the listing on every speed, roughly twice as loud to the ear. Our empty room reads about 20 dB(A), so room noise does not explain the gap.
What it means for you
Fine as background noise in an office or classroom. Too loud on speed 3 for a bedroom or a quiet meeting.
What the brand says
About 48 / 81 / 118 W power draw
CloseWhat we found
The wall meter read 53.6 / 88.4 / 126.8 W on speeds 1 / 2 / 3, about 5 to 9 W (7 to 12%) above the listing on every speed.
What the brand says
Lockable wheels
Matches our testWhat we found
It has four caster wheels with ON / OFF brake tabs.
How did we score the Blast?
The 7.5 overall score is the average of these category scores. Each one is scored for what the Blast is meant to do (clean a shared office or classroom), not as if it were a bedroom unit.

Air purification
9 / 10
12.4 minutes on speed 3 in our 9 m² room, right in line with its 950 m³/h listing, and still 22.3 minutes on speed 1. Fastest unit we have timed so far, with far more headroom for big spaces.
Maintenance and cleaning
9 / 10
One filter that lasts around two years, no tools. It is tall and awkward to swap, but you rarely have to.
Features and functions
3 / 10
Three speeds on a back dial, and wheels. No sensor, no auto mode, no timer, no carbon in the box.
Design and looks
6 / 10
Sturdy and purposeful, but it still reads as industrial equipment. Fine in a gym or warehouse-style office; hard to love in a finished meeting room.
Material quality
9 / 10
Painted metal cabinet with no flex or rattle, and solid locking casters.
Convenience and ease of use
7 / 10
Set it in place, lock the wheels, turn the dial. At 123 cm and 36 kg with the dial on the back, day-to-day use is clumsier than a home unit.
Value for the price
9 / 10
About ฿19,990 for 950 m³/h that held up in our test and a filter that lasts around two years. Hard to beat on clean air per baht for a shared space.
Overall satisfaction
8 / 10
For an office, meeting room, or classroom up to about 90 m², it cleans as advertised for years. The large noise-claim gap on every speed and the industrial size keep it from scoring higher.
Bottom line
For an office, meeting room, or classroom up to about 90 m², the Blast is a sturdy, set-and-forget purifier that cleans as fast as its listing promises, with a huge H13 filter that lasts around two years and lockable wheels. Treat the 150 m² claim as a background-cleaning size, and expect it to be louder than listed. For bigger spaces plan on more than one unit; for bedrooms, pick the SA600 or Sqair.
