Best for
bedrooms, home offices, and study rooms up to about 30 m²
A quiet, good-looking cube with a real HEPA filter and very low power use at about ฿3,990. Its cleaning speed matched the listing in our test. We hold back because there is no sensor, auto mode, or carbon in the box, speeds 1 and 2 are slow to clear smoke, and speed 1 is louder than the near-silent figure listed.
Our verdict
If you want a simple, quiet purifier for a bedroom, home office, or study, the Smart Air Sqair is a good fit. It has a real HEPA filter, a three-speed dial with no app to set up, and wood legs that make it look like furniture instead of an appliance. In our 9 m² incense test it took 33.5 minutes on speed 3 to clean the room, in line with what its 315 m³/h listing predicts. Size it for rooms up to about 30 m² for fast cleanup. For a bigger living room or an office, it is too small. AirLab score: 7.9 / 10.
Smart Air makes straightforward filter purifiers: a fan pulls air through a HEPA sheet that traps fine dust and smoke, with no ionizer spraying charged particles into the room. In Thailand they are sold by WEDO AIR, from the portable QT3 up to the Blast for offices and classrooms. The Sqair is their best seller, with WEDO AIR saying more than 10,000 units sold in Thailand.
Think of the Sqair as a bedroom unit. It is a 33 × 33 × 37 cm white cube on four wooden legs, with a dark grille on top where clean air comes out and a single dial in the middle for three fan speeds. There is no screen, no Wi-Fi, and no air quality sensor. On speed 1 it is a soft, steady hum (23 dB listed, 37.1 dB on our meter at 1 m); on speed 3 it sounds like a steady fan (52 dB listed, 54.8 dB measured). Our wall meter read 6.7 W on speed 1 and 38.3 W on speed 3.
WEDO AIR lists clean-air output (CADR, how much cleaned air comes out per hour) at 65 / 180 / 315 m³/h on speeds 1, 2, and 3, with an H12 HEPA filter. The product page says rooms up to 40 m²; the homepage tile says 60 m². Our test lined up with the 315 m³/h listing on speed 3, so we would size it for about 30 m² if you want the air changed four times an hour. The 40 m² figure assumes fewer air changes; in a room that size it still helps as steady background cleaning.
What is in the box?
The Sqair ships in a brown cardboard box printed with the Smart Air logo, with no foam and no plastic bags, which is nice to see. Inside you get the unit with its HEPA filter, four wooden legs that you fit to the base yourself, a power cord, and a short manual. There is no carbon filter in the box; that is a separate buy.

How do we test the Sqair?
We test every air purifier the same way so you can compare results from one review to the next. For the Sqair we used our usual 9 square meter room with a 2.5 meter ceiling. That is about the size of a small Thai condo bedroom or home office, which is exactly the job the Sqair is sold for. We light incense sticks to fill the air with fine particles. When our Temtop S1 monitor shows PM2.5 at 75 micrograms per cubic meter, we take the incense out, turn the unit on, and stop the timer when that reading first falls to 15 or below. We fill the room with smoke again before each speed. The photos below show this Sqair run. If you want every rule in one place, including where we put the monitor and how we measure noise and power, read the full method on our methodology page.
Step 1: We close up the test room
Every run happens in the same closed 9 m² room with a 2.5 m ceiling, about the size of a small condo bedroom. The door stays shut and the air conditioning stays off, so the smoke comes from our incense and not from open windows or the street.

Step 2: We light incense sticks
Next we light incense sticks so the room fills with fine particles and smoke. When the Temtop S1 reads 75 µg/m³, we take the incense out of the room.

Step 3: We place the Sqair and the air monitor
We set the Sqair on the floor near the wall, where most people would put it next to a bed. The Temtop S1 sits on the table in the middle of the room and keeps logging PM2.5. We do not start the cleaning timer until that reading reaches at least 75 micrograms per cubic meter.

Step 4: We run every speed and time the cleanup
When the start level is reached, we turn the dial to the speed we are testing and start a timer. We stop the timer as soon as the monitor first shows PM2.5 at 15 micrograms per cubic meter or lower. We do a separate run on speeds 3, 2, and 1, each one starting again from at least 75, so every speed gets its own cleanup time in minutes.

Step 5: We check how much electricity it uses
After the particle runs, we plug the Sqair into a wall energy meter. We write down the watt reading on every speed so we can estimate the yearly electricity cost later in this review.

Step 6: We check how loud each speed is
Last we measure sound with a handheld meter held 1 meter from the unit. We do this for every fan speed. That same distance is used on every AirLab review so the noise numbers stay comparable.

Full protocol (gates, placement, noise, power, scoring): the AirLab methodology.
How well does the Sqair clean the air?
We ran the Sqair through our standard incense particle test in the closed 9 m² lab room (2.5 m ceiling). We lit incense sticks until the Temtop S1 read 75 µg/m³, took the incense out of the room, and switched the purifier on. We stopped the clock at the first moment PM2.5 fell to 15 µg/m³ or below, then filled the room with smoke again before testing the next speed. That is the same start and clean gate we use on every AirLab review, so you can compare one unit to the next.

| Smart Air Sqair | 33.5 min | 58.7 min (Speed 2, 44.8 dB) | ฿3,990 |
Quiet-speed result: on speed 2 (44.8 dB(A)), the Sqair cleared the room in 58.7 minutes. We track the fastest speed under 45 dB(A) because that is about as loud as most people will leave a purifier running in a bedroom, office, or classroom.

What stands out about the Sqair, and what does not?
Strengths
- Quiet on speed 1 (37.1 dB at 1 m), soft enough to run all night in a bedroom
- Very low power use, 6.7 W on speed 1 and 38.3 W on speed 3 at the wall
- Real HEPA filter, no ionizer, with TIS and CE marks listed
- One simple dial and wood legs; looks like furniture, not a gadget
Limitations
- Speeds 1 and 2 are slow to clear a smoky room; use speed 3 for a quick cleanup
- For fast cleanup we would size it for about 30 m²; treat the 40 to 60 m² claims as background-cleaning sizes
- No air quality sensor, no auto mode, no timer
- Carbon filter for smells is an extra ฿590, and it lasts about 3 months
- Speed 3 (54.8 dB) is too loud for sleeping
How is the Sqair designed, and how easy is it to use?
The Sqair is about the size of a small side table. It is meant to stand on the floor next to a bed or a sofa and look like it belongs there.
The body is matte white plastic with soft rounded corners. The top is a dark grey perforated grille where clean air comes out, straight up toward the ceiling. It does not blow on you, which matters in a bedroom. The four legs are solid light wood. WEDO AIR says they come from European forests and help damp vibration; in use, the unit does not buzz or rattle.

Control is one round dial set into the middle of the top grille. Turn it for off, 1, 2, and 3. There is no screen, no light show at night, and no app. For a bedroom that is a plus. The trade-off is that nothing tells you how dirty the air is or when to go faster. You need a separate monitor for that.

Air comes in low around the sides of the body and leaves through the top. Keep a little space around it and do not push it tight into a corner, or it will just recirculate the same air.

At 6 kg shipping weight it is easy to carry from bedroom to living room with two hands, but it has no handle. Most people will park it in one room and leave it. The cord is long enough to reach a wall socket from beside a bed.
What does the Sqair filter actually capture?
This filter is for particles: dust, smoke bits, pollen, and pet dander.
The product page lists an H12 HEPA filter that traps up to 99.5% of particles on the first pass. HEPA grades tell you how fine a filter is: H12 sits between the H11 used in small units like the QT3 and the H13 (often called True HEPA) used in the SA600 and Blasts. WEDO AIR's own replacement filter page calls the Sqair filter H11, so the listing is not consistent. For this review we treat it as the H12 on the main product page.

WEDO AIR says the filter traps PM2.5, viruses, bacteria, pet hair, and mold. We do not treat the virus and bacteria claims as medical results. A good particle filter can catch tiny bits in the air. That is not the same as treating an infection.
Filter life is listed as 1,400 hours, which WEDO AIR describes as about 6 months at 8 hours a day. Running it longer each day, like overnight plus evenings, means changing it sooner. Trust hours of use, not the calendar.
How often do you replace the Sqair filter?
The official replacement is one H12 HEPA filter at ฿690 on WEDO AIR. Filters are not covered by the 1-year unit warranty. If you skip changes, clean-air output drops and the fan works harder for less result.
- Schedule
- Every 1,400 hours (about 6 months at 8 hours a day).
- Filter price
- ฿690 per HEPA filter (carbon filter ฿590)
- Annual cost
- About ฿2,070 / year at 10 hours a day (3 filters)
How you change it
Turn the dial off and unplug. Lift the white body straight up off the wooden base. The filter sits flat on the base tray with an "UP" arrow on its edge. Lift the old filter out, drop the new one in with the arrow facing up, and set the body back down until it seats. No tools and no clips. Bag the used filter so it does not shed dust on the floor.

How loud is the Sqair?
Speeds 1 / 2 / 3: 37.1 / 44.8 / 54.8 dB(A), measured at 1 m from the Sqair (AirLab standard for every unit). Speed 1 is about as loud as a quiet library, soft enough to sleep next to. Speed 2 is fine for working or watching TV. Speed 3 is a clear fan sound; use it for the first clean-up, then turn it down.
- Speed 137dB(A)
- Speed 245dB(A)
- Speed 355dB(A)
Measured 1 m from the unit at 1.2 m height, A-weighted. Reference markers are everyday comparisons, not test results.

What does the Sqair cost to run?
Running the Smart Air Sqair will cost about ฿2,363 per year for electricity plus filter replacements, about ฿197 per month. That is what you keep paying after you own the unit. The purifier itself is a one-time buy.
Annual running cost split
฿2,363 / year
- Electricity
- ฿293
- Filters
- ฿2,070
1. Electricity = ฿293 per year
Our wall meter read 6.7 W on speed 1, 17.9 W on speed 2, and 38.3 W on speed 3, all within a watt of the 6 / 18 / 38 W listing. For the yearly electricity line we assume 10 hours a day on speed 2, at ฿4.5 per unit of electricity (kWh). That fits a bedroom habit of evenings plus part of the night.
- Speed 16.7W
- Speed 217.9W
- Speed 338.3W

17.9 W × 10 h/day × 365 ÷ 1000 = 65 kWh × ฿4.5/kWh = ฿293
2. Filter costs = ฿2,070 per year
HEPA filters fill up with particles and need replacing. The official Sqair HEPA filter is ฿690 on WEDO AIR, rated 1,400 hours. At 10 hours a day you use about 3,650 hours a year, a bit over two and a half filters, so we round up to three, or ฿2,070. If you add the optional carbon filter, budget roughly another ฿590 every 3 months. Filters are the big ongoing cost. Electricity is not.

3. Product price = ฿3,990 once
WEDO AIR listed the Sqair from ฿3,990 when we checked. Add that once in year one. After that you are mostly paying for filters.

Who should buy the Sqair?
The Sqair is a good fit when you want quiet, simple, real HEPA cleaning for one bedroom-sized room. It is a mismatch if your room is bigger than about 30 m², or if you want smart features or strong odor control out of the box.

Best-fit scenarios
- A bedroom, study, or home office up to about 30 m², where it can run on speed 1 all night
- People who want one dial and no app, sensor, or lights to manage
- Shoppers who care how it looks; the wood legs and white body blend into a room
Skip it if
- Your room is bigger than about 30 m². Look at the SA600 for rooms up to about 45 m², or the Blast for offices and open-plan spaces
- You want an auto mode that speeds up on its own when you cook or someone smokes
- Odors and chemical smells are the main job and you do not want to pay for the carbon add-on

How do the Sqair’s listed claims compare to our tests?
Here is what the WEDO AIR / Smart Air listing says next to what we measured in our room. Brands test in sealed lab chambers and we test in a furnished room, so small gaps are normal. We only say a claim falls short when the gap would change which purifier you should buy. The full rules are on our methodology page.
What the brand says
Clean air output (CADR) 315 m³/h
Matches our testWhat we found
In our 9 m² room, a 315 m³/h purifier should clear the smoke (75 → 15 µg/m³) in about 34 minutes on speed 3. It took 33.5 minutes, in line with the listing.
What it means for you
For about 4 air changes an hour, we'd use it in rooms up to about 30 m².
What the brand says
H12 HEPA filter, 99.5% on the first pass
CloseWhat we found
It is a real pleated HEPA cartridge and PM2.5 fell steadily on every speed. WEDO AIR's own filter page calls it H11, though, so the grade on the listing is not consistent.
What it means for you
Either grade traps the fine smoke and dust you care about at home. H13 catches a little more on each pass, which matters less than how much air the fan moves.
What the brand says
Rooms up to 40 m² (60 m² on the homepage tile)
Different standardWhat we found
At 40 m² the Sqair gives about three air changes an hour, just past the top of the Chinese GB/T 18801 sizing rule. The 60 m² tile goes well beyond it. We size rooms for about four air changes an hour, for faster cleanup.
What it means for you
For fast cleanup, use it in rooms up to about 30 m². In a 40 m² room it still helps as steady background cleaning.
What the brand says
Noise about 23 / 43 / 52 dB
CloseWhat we found
Our meter at 1 m measured 37.1 / 44.8 / 54.8 dB(A) on speeds 1 / 2 / 3. Speeds 2 and 3 are within about 2 to 3 dB of the listing. Speed 1 is about 14 dB louder than listed: still a soft hum you can sleep next to, but not near-silent. Our empty room reads about 20 dB(A), so that gap is the purifier itself, not room noise.
What the brand says
About 6 / 18 / 38 W power draw
Matches our testWhat we found
The wall meter read 6.7 / 17.9 / 38.3 W on speeds 1 / 2 / 3, all within a watt of the listing.
What the brand says
Simple three-speed dial, no apps or smart features
Matches our testWhat we found
One dial, three speeds, nothing to pair or update. It does exactly what it says.
How did we score the Sqair?
The 7.9 overall score is the average of these category scores, rounded. Each one is scored for what the Sqair is meant to do (clean one bedroom-sized room quietly), not as if it were a whole-home machine.

Air purification
7 / 10
33.5 minutes on speed 3 in our 9 m² room, in line with what its 315 m³/h listing predicts. Plenty for a bedroom, but speeds 1 and 2 are slow to clear a smoky room on their own.
Maintenance and cleaning
9 / 10
Lift the body off, swap the filter, set it back. No tools, and the filter is easy to find on WEDO AIR.
Features and functions
4 / 10
Three speeds on a dial, and that is it. No sensor, no auto mode, no timer, no carbon in the box.
Design and looks
10 / 10
The best-looking unit in the Smart Air range. White body, dark top grille, real wood legs. It looks like furniture.
Material quality
8 / 10
Solid plastic body that does not creak, and real wood legs. Feels well put together for the price.
Convenience and ease of use
9 / 10
Plug in, turn the dial. The only extra step is buying a monitor if you want to see the air quality.
Value for the price
8 / 10
Around ฿3,990 for a real HEPA purifier that matched its listed clean-air output, with very low running power. Strong bedroom value, though the SA600 covers more room for the extra spend.
Overall satisfaction
8 / 10
A happy buy for a bedroom or study. Only frustrating if you expected smart features or fast cleanup in a 40 m² room.
Bottom line
For a bedroom, study, or home office up to about 30 m², the Sqair is a quiet, simple, good-looking HEPA purifier that cleans as fast as its listing promises, sips power, and stays out of the way on speed 1. Treat the 40 to 60 m² claims as background-cleaning sizes. For a living room or family bedroom, step up to the SA600; for offices and classrooms, the Blast.
